It's been over a year of quarantine. We've ridden the ride from Tiger King to The Queen's Gambit. We're almost finished with this craziness and, honestly, almost finished with Netflix.


Fortunately, that means we have great movie recommendations for you athletes! If you want to curl up and watch a good sports movie, here are some of our favorites...

  4. Senna: This 2010 documentary details the glamorous, tragic, and inspiring story of world-renowned race driver Ayrton Senna. 93% Rotten Tomatoes. Currently streaming on Amazon Prime.

  5. I, Tonya: Based on a true story, this movie depicts Tonya Harding’s life, the progression of her career, and all of the drama along the way. 90% Rotten Tomatoes. Currently streaming on Hulu.

  6. Free Solo: This documentary takes us to new heights as we follow Alex Honnold on his journey to become the first person to free solo El Capitan, a 900-meter rock in Yosemite National Park. 97% Rotten Tomatoes. Currently streaming on Disney+.

  7. The Karate Kid: A true classic, this movie is about a young boy who is bullied and becomes trained by a martial arts master. 89% Rotten Tomatoes. Currently streaming on Tubi.

  8. Rudy: This 1993 classic is about the struggle of a high school football player who wants to play at the University of Notre Dame.   9. Soul Surfer: This movie depicts the crazy and true story of a talented surfer, Bethany Hamilton. After losing her arm in a shark attack, Bethany has to struggle to continue her passion. 45% Rotten Tomatoes. Currently streaming on Netflix.

  10. Ronaldo: This documentary is all about the eccentric life of the undeniable professional soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo. $3.99 on YouTube, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime.
